Tip 13. One Location for Both the Ceremony and Reception. Having both the ceremony and reception in one location can be accomplished in several ways. One way is to choose a venue where you can have your wedding outdoors and reception indoors or vice versa.     My wedding is less than a month away and if there were awards for running behind I would win first place we have no idea where we are having the reception we keep going back and forth on the location luckily it’s a very small wedding and everyone who’s supposed to be there knows when the day is… Lol and pointers u can give me to help my fiancé pick the spot… Thanks

      Hi Brandy, here are some tips:

      1. Know what your budget is for the location.
      2. Write down your top features that the venue must have, such as outdoor location, on-site catering, easy-to get to … things like that.
      3. Research venues in your area. Contact them and ask if they have the features you are looking for and if they are within your budget.
      4. Choose three venues from your list and visit them. While there check the features off your list to be sure they have everything you are looking for.
      5. After your visit, discuss with your fiance and choose one … THIS WEEK!
