I'm so glad I didn't take the review below to heart. I love these boxes! They are beautiful! The lids are fine, stopping at the perfect spot, not too far back. As long as you're careful when closing the lid, treating it as the glass lid that it is, there is no need for any rubber stoppers. The engraving is beautiful, nice and elegant. I would completely recommend this to someone else for their wedding party.

The hinge allows the glass top to go too far back, and then when you try and close it it slams down. It needed like a rubber stopper or something.
