These fans were a great addition to my outdoor wedding. They are very delicate but do provide enough air flow to be useful. It was 97 degrees outside during my reception and these fans worked nicely for my guests. They are about 10" long and only open up the full span in one direction; so if you're trying to open it and it won't go, try it in the other direction. There is a super thin clear plastic string that keeps the fan structurally together when it is fully opened. I definitely recommend these!
