Couples may choose to present the Family Medallion during the wedding service or as a special gift afterward. It is appropriate for children of all ages.
When used during the wedding, the Family Medallion is given to each child after the couple is pronounced husband and wife. Wording for a presentation ceremony, "Celebrating the New Family" comes with each order. Each Family Medallion comes with a presentation box, resource booklet and 18" chain.

This is an amazing necklace. Yes, the charm is small, but I think it wouldn't look right any larger. The chain is a smaller chain, but it seems high-quality and very durable. It may need repaired after a while (but no time soon) if the child wears it constantly, but it definitely seems like it would hold up for a long time before a link might break. But that happens with all chains, big or small. My daughter is 2, and will definitely love getting this from her "daddy". It comes with ideas of how to incorporate it into the ceremony, but we're doing it at the reception instead. My fiance is going to present it to her before a special dance just for them.

The necklace is perfect! It made my daughter feel so special and really apart of the ceremony. She and my husband exchanged their own vows and then he put the necklace on her. It was beautiful!

What a awesome way to include a child into the wedding. To be a ring bearer or flower girl is great, but to be included in the ceremony is a wow that they will never forget. Yes they are part of the new forever family.

I would recommend it to a friend because of what it symbolizes. I am just disappointed that the medallion was so very small, and the chain is so thin and frail considering how much it cost. I am going to switch out the chain for my teenage sons because i can't give it to them with the chain it came with.
