First Kiss Proposal
I was excited to spend the weekend with Mark on our One year anniversary of dating. We went out to dinner at Engine Co. 28 in downtown LA where we had our first date and then to a bed and breakfast in San Diego.
As usual, I got out of work early and headed over his house to get ready and wait for him to get home. He got home and said my gift was still in the mail and didn't make it on time (my one year anniversary gift) and got me red carnations instead. I was disappointed because he didn't even get me a card!!!
I remember resting in bed because I had a headache and it was too early to go to dinner. Mark was lying next to me when his sister called. He said something like, "It's planned. I got her flowers but she's upset because I didn't get her a card" to his sister. I was wondering why he was telling her that... it didn't sound like she asked. I just thought whatever... because I just wanted my headache to go away.
Then we went to dinner in downtown LA. During dinner, I stated, "Let's go walk around in downtown LA, because we are dressed up." He said, "No, it's not so great here. I have somewhere better in mind." He didn't seem to want to talk about it so I didn't ask.
After dinner, I assume we where just heading back home, but he exited early on La Brea... I said, "Where are we going??" He just kept making jokes.. I was quit confused.
Then we passed where whe had our second date.. all of a sudden we were parking. I thought we were going to the comedy club like we did on our second date. We got out of the car and started walking. Then I said, "Oh, this is where we had our first kiss." We were standing outside in the parking lot.
All of sudden.. he went down on one knee and asked, "So will you?"
I said, "Will I what?"
He said, "You are making me say it?" I nodded with a big grin.
He said, "Will you marry me?"
I said, "Really?"
He said, "Are you going to say yes? So I can get up?" At that time, some guy came by and shouted, "Just say yes!!" Mark responded to the guy, "Thank you!!"
I then said, "YES!"
Then he got up and and I asked if I could wear the ring... I was glowing and in shock!! We kissed... I was still in shock!
He asked what I wanted to do next and I reply with "I need to pee." So we headed back to his place. I kept saying, "Really???" on the way back and when I was at his place...
