This is a very lovely keepsake and a beautiful addition to the cake table. Definitly not as a cake topper though. Our cake decorator wouldn't even consider placing on the cake because of the weight.

I would definately recommend this to someone, it is very pretty. Not everyone sells it with the base which is nice for after the wedding. I agree with others, should put the weight on it, but for reference it weighs 2lbs. Your cake person can put something in to hold it up. No biggie!

Very solid piece of glass, with the light illuminating it.Its very classy, great for a curio cabinet for memories. I wouldn't recommend for a cake topper but definitly for a beautiful keepsake.

I fell in love with this cake topper right away. I didnt realize how heavy it was until I got it today. I'm pretty sure my friend who is making my cake can make this topper work, and I love the fact you can have it personalized, which of course I did. It is very different from any other cake toppers I've ever seen and I just love it. It will look great displayed in our home after the wedding.This piece will be enjoyed for many yars to come as a reminder of my special day. :)

This cake topper is clear, not purple. It depends on the backround that you have it in front of! It is also very, very heavy. I took it to my cake lady and she said, "They sold this to you as a cake topper!?! This won't work, it is too heavy!" It also is not secured on the base. If anyone were to touch it, it would fall over. I will use it as decor on my mantle but meanwhile, I have to buy another cake topper!! Pretty disapointing.
